What does an NFC sign do?

An embedded near-field communication tag stores a destination such as your website, booking page, menu or social profile. A compatible phone held close to the tap area can read that link and offer to open it. Ready Tap Go supplies the physical sign; the destination remains the page or service you choose.

Give customers a scan option too.

The printed QR code provides a camera-based way to reach a link when tapping is inconvenient or unsupported. NFC and QR can use the same destination, or you can request separate destinations for different actions. Supply and test each exact address. We confirm which link belongs to which interaction in the production proof.

Plan the phone approach and placement.

Leave the tap area accessible so a customer can bring a phone close to it. A checkout stand or reception sign should not be hidden behind merchandise. On a wall, consider reach and code visibility. Phone compatibility, settings, antenna position and phone cases can affect NFC; test the finished sign with representative phones at its intended location.

Choose a shape and mounting method.

Six freestanding shapes are available, including A-frame and Round. Five shapes also have a flat-backed version for adhesive mounting. Choose a standing sign when you need to move it between indoor surfaces. For a fixed plaque, tell us the surface material and discuss the mounting method in the quote.

Metal needs a specific review.

Nearby metal can interfere with an ordinary NFC tag. Tell us if the plaque will be attached to stainless steel or another metal surface so the tag and isolation method can be reviewed. Do not assume a standard configuration will work on every surface. Keep the QR code unobstructed as a separate camera option.

Decide how future link changes will work.

A printed QR code cannot be rewritten. NFC rewriting depends on access to the tag and whether it has been locked; it is not a promised feature of every finished sign. For flexibility, consider a stable URL you control and update the content there. Agree on your link plan before approving production.

Questions before you order

Do I need a separate charging cable?

The passive NFC tag itself does not need a battery or charging cable. Loading a linked web page normally needs an internet connection on the customer’s phone.

Can customers scan if tapping is not working?

A printed QR code provides a camera option. Confirm both destinations and keep the code visible.

Can I reprogram the finished sign?

Do not assume so. It depends on tag access and locking. Discuss future changes before approving production and consider a stable URL you control.
